Bissell Little Green ProHeat Parts: Replacement Guide by Model

Bissell Little Green ProHeat Parts: Replacement Guide by Model

The Bissell Little Green ProHeat is one of the most popular portable carpet cleaners on the market, and parts for it wear out in predictable ways. The hose cracks or kinks, the pump loses pressure, tanks develop leaks, and cleaning tools break from regular use. This guide covers the replacement parts that fail most often on the Little Green and ProHeat lineup, with part numbers and model compatibility so you can order the right piece the first time.

Little Green and ProHeat Models: Quick Reference

Bissell has sold the Little Green and ProHeat portable cleaner under several model numbers over the years. Parts are not always shared across the full lineup, so knowing your model number before ordering matters.

Your model number is on a sticker on the bottom of the machine. It will be a four-digit or alphanumeric code.

Replacement Hose

The hose is the part that fails most often on the Little Green ProHeat. It runs hot water and cleaning solution under pressure on every use, and the plastic at the connection points cracks over time. A kinked or leaking hose drops cleaning pressure noticeably.

The right hose depends on your model:

  • 1425, 50Y6, 3353, 3369 (standard Little Green): Genuine Bissell Little Green Machine Hose With Handle, part 203-7152 / 2037152
  • 1200 series (SpotBot and early Little Green): Bissell SpotBot Suction and Spray Hose Assembly, part 2036665
  • 1711, 1712, 2114 (SpotBot): Hose and Cuff Assembly, part 1608322 / 160-8322
  • 33N8 (SpotBot Pet current): Hose and Cuff Assembly, part 2037478 / 1618470
  • 78R5 (SpotBot Pet): Hose and Cuff Assembly, part 2037479 / 203-7479

There is also a front flex hose clip (part 2037159) that secures the hose on 1400, 1425, 50Y6, 3353, and 3369 models. If the hose flops loose from the machine body rather than sitting in its channel, this clip is what you need.

Clean Water Tank (Solution Tank)

The clean water tank holds your water and cleaning solution. Cracks develop around the fill cap or at the seam from repeated drops or overtightening. If the machine leaves a trail of solution on the floor before you start cleaning, the clean tank is leaking.

  • 1425 Little Green: Solution Tank, part 203-7158 / 2035008
  • SpotBot 33N8, 78R5: Clean Tank, part 2037475 / 203-7475
  • SpotBot 2114, 2117, 78R5, 33N8: Original clean tank, part 1606552 / 160-6552

The cap and insert assembly (part 2035014) fits Little Green and SpotBot models including the 1400 series. If the tank holds water fine but the cap drips, replace the cap assembly rather than the full tank.

Recovery Tank (Dirty Water Tank)

The recovery tank collects dirty water pulled from the carpet. It fills up quickly on deep-cleaning jobs and takes more abuse than the clean tank because users often empty it by flipping the machine. The latch and gasket at the drain point are common failure spots.

  • 1720 Little Green Machine: Recovery Tank, part 2031201
  • 1720-2, 1720-3, 1720-Q: Tinted Recovery Tank, part 6031203
  • SpotBot 33N8, 78R5 (smokey grey): Recovery Tank, part 2037471 / 203-7471
  • SpotBot 1711, 2114, 2117, 33N8, 78R5: Collection Tank, part 2037178 / 203-7178

The duckbill valve (part 203-6646) inside the recovery tank controls water flow and is a common cause of suction loss on SpotBot models. It is a small part and worth checking before replacing the full tank.

Pump Assembly

The pump pressurizes the water spray. When the pump fails, you get weak or no spray from the cleaning tool while suction continues normally. A pump that cycles on and off rapidly (hunting) usually means the clean tank is empty, but if it does this with water present, the pump itself is failing.

  • Little Green ProHeat (1400, 1425 series): Pump Assembly, part 603-5029 / 6035029
  • SpotBot 1200 series: Pump Assembly, part 2036659 / 203-6659
  • SpotBot 2114: Pump Assembly, part 1608324

Trigger Valve

The trigger valve on the hose handle controls spray. If pressing the trigger does nothing, or if the machine sprays constantly without the trigger pressed, the valve has failed. On the 1200 series, this is a separate serviceable part.

  • 1200 series: Trigger Valve, part 203-6662

Cleaning Tools and Attachments

Bissell sells several cleaning tools that fit across the Little Green and SpotBot lineup. The plastic on attachment connections breaks when users twist or pull them at an angle rather than pressing the release button.

  • 3-inch Tough Stain Tool (fits Little Green, ProHeat, SpotBot): part 314-9162. This is the most-used attachment for upholstery and tight spots.
  • Green 3-inch Upholstery Tool (fits 1400 series and ProHeat): part 203-7151
  • Wide Stair Tool (fits Little Green): part 203-6654. Wider footprint for stair treads and seat cushions.
  • Stain Trapper Tool (fits DeepClean, ProHeat, SpotBot): part 1600057 / 160-0057. Larger tool for pet stains on carpet.

Gaskets, Seals, and Small Parts

Several small parts cause big problems when they fail. These are worth checking before assuming a major component needs replacing.

  • Airstack Bottom Seal / Duckbill Gasket (fits Little Green machines): part 2035045 / 603-5045. This seal sits at the base of the airstack. When it fails, suction drops sharply. It is a common cause of poor performance on machines that are otherwise intact.
  • Hose Clip (1200 series): part 203-6648. Keeps the hose attached to the machine body.
  • Storage Tray (1200 series): part 203-6647. Holds tools when not in use.
  • SpotBot Cap and Insert Assembly: part 203-7477. Covers and seals the clean tank fill port.
  • SpotBot Recovery Tank Latch (33N8): part 2037473 / 203-7473. The latch that holds the dirty tank in place.

How to Find Your Bissell Little Green Model Number

Flip the machine upside down. The model number is on a white or silver sticker on the base plate. It will read something like 1425, 33N8, or 1720-2. If the sticker has worn off, check the original purchase receipt or look up the serial number on Bissell's website, which will return the model.

If you only have a part number from a broken piece, search that part number directly. Most Bissell parts have a consistent numbering format (six-digit number with or without a hyphen after the first three digits) and that number will confirm compatibility.
