Q: Is there an aftermarket replacement or an adapter for this filter?
A: Sorry, there is nothing which will replace this Perma filter. I have diy solution for you actually. If you still have the old filter with you, take out the filter media. Then wrap this filter in a felt cloth which you can buy at a local fabric store. Make sure it is not thick and is breathable. Do not overlap the material so that it remains a single layer. Then put it in the machine. Try for few runs and see if it catches the dirt. Clean often once you see it clogged up.Let me know how it goes.

Q: I have Dirt devil Platinum Force Vision upright purchased around 2002. Model # on vacuum is 091210. The filter is 4.25 wide @ both ends, 10 in. tall.
