Q: is the belt roller plastic? the one I am replacing is metal. do you recommend generic without beater bars? - asked by patricia woody

A: On the newer version of this brush roll, the pulley end is metal but the other end is high grade plastic. The brushes are not available separately so you will have to replace the whole beater bar.
