A: NO! This is an aftermarket knock-off, BUT... It does fit.I had the same question before I purchased and knew something was fishy when the ? remained unanswered. It is very misleading that they give this part the same part number as the genuine part.First of all, this knockoff part is .02 higher than the retail price of the real thing.The length and shape is slightly different that Rainbow's part.The finish on this part is somewhat more of a satin look then the Rainbow's high glossy mirror type chrome finish. But again, this part does work so who cares? This is a better deal because EZvacuum give you FREE shipping. In order to get Rainbow's FREE shipping you are required to spend at least $100.00. I am not upset about purchasing here. I do have a problem with EZ refusing to accept any phone calls either by their local number or their toll free number and the 24 hour return email didn't work for me. If you want the genuine Rainbow part, you need to go to Rainvac.com. Just be ready to spend a minimum of $100 or pay a hefty shipping fee. but the finish is more dull on this part, it doesn't have the warning sticker that the genuine
